Additional pedelecs for the Recklinghausen PP
The Recklinghausen police force added six pedelecs (bicycles with electric pedal assistance up to 25 km/h) to its fleet in summer 2023. The bikes are primarily used by colleagues from the district and priority services and the traffic accident prevention department on duty.
In advance, the bikes were fitted with blue and yellow foils by employees of the Recklinghausen police vehicle workshop, making them recognizable to the public as police bikes.
The bikes are a useful (and emission-free) addition to the fleet and are used in particular for journeys in inner-city areas or parks.
