May Day and Father's Day are just around the corner. As much as we don't want to spoil the fun, we would nevertheless like to point out that driving with a tractor and trailer on the night of May Day or on Father's Day is not a custom. Certain conditions apply and special permits are required to avoid a rude awakening in the event of an accident or inspection.
We have therefore compiled some information for you:
➡️ Appropriate liability insurance covering passenger transportation is required (motor vehicle or public liability insurance is not sufficient).
➡️ Green license plates are not permitted: the towing vehicle and trailer must be registered. Section 21 (2) StVO states: No one may be carried on the loading area or in the load compartments of trailers. Unless the trailers are used for agricultural or forestry purposes.
Unfortunately, this is not the case when driving with a towing vehicle and trailer.
Nevertheless, we wish you lots of fun dancing into May in hopefully good weather. ☀️
