Experienced commuters in the area of the ZOB and Recklinghausen main station will already be familiar with the active partnership between the Recklinghausen police, the federal police and the city of Recklinghausen. Since 2017, the city and the police have been working to improve the situation at the ZOB by increasing their presence and, as a result, to strengthen the sense of security among citizens. The Federal Police, which is responsible for security at Recklinghausen main station, has also been involved in this for some time.

"Joint patrols as part of the regulatory partnership will continue to take place in the city center and in the ZOB area. The citizens' sense of security is very important to us - your security is our mission! That is why we will continue to increase our presence at the ZOB and be available as a direct point of contact, also with our mobile police station," emphasizes Police Commissioner Friederike Zurhausen.

The Federal Police is also a strong local partner.
