The basis of the collaboration is a fixed-term contract with the option to extend. The medical services are remunerated in accordance with the scale of fees for doctors.
Specialist medical personnel are indispensable when taking blood samples to determine the influence of alcohol, medication and drugs in the case of criminal offenses and misdemeanors. The same applies to testing people's fitness for custody.
Contract doctors (part-time) are sought for on-call duty from 07:00 to 19:00. As a doctor may be required to provide support as quickly as possible during ongoing police operations, they should live as close as possible to the scene of the operation.
The areas of operation are: 1. Bottrop and Gladbeck, 2. Marl, Haltern and Dorsten, 3. Recklinghausen and Herten and 4. Castrop-Rauxel, Datteln, Waltrop and Oer-Erkenschwick. It is also possible to take over several areas of operation.
